Disclaimer
1. Informational Use Only
TradeShaper helps you record, review, and grade the trades you have already taken (or chosen to skip). The platform visualizes your own decisions and applies post-hoc analysis against rules and rubrics you configure or that we provide as defaults. None of this is financial advice. You are solely responsible for your trades, your strategies, and your interpretation of any output the platform produces.
Any examples, demonstration data, sample strategies, default rule sets, hindsight verdicts, “passed-trade” grades, suggested risk amounts, position-sizing math (e.g. Kelly fraction, percent-of-capital recommendations), strategy templates, or score outputs are illustrative. They are not recommendations to enter, exit, or hold any position.
2. Not a Broker, Adviser, or Tax Professional
TradeShaper is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, accountant, or tax professional in any jurisdiction. The platform does not offer to buy or sell securities, derivatives, or any other financial instrument, and does not facilitate the execution of trades on your behalf. Any data we ingest from your broker is observational only.
TradeShaper is not designed for, and must not be relied upon as, tax preparation software. Realized P&L, cost basis, wash-sale handling, holding-period categorization, and other tax-impacting calculations performed by the platform are approximate book-keeping figures intended for discipline review — not for tax filing. Use your broker’s tax statements and a qualified tax professional for tax purposes.
3. Trading Risk
Trading securities, options, and other financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. The valuation of options can fluctuate rapidly and unpredictably, and you can lose the entire amount of your investment in a short period. Leverage and margin can magnify both gains and losses. You should not trade with capital you cannot afford to lose.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Backtests, strategy benchmarks, expectancy calculations, and any historical metrics surfaced by the platform reflect specific past inputs under specific past market conditions. They are not a forecast or guarantee of future outcomes.
4. AI-Generated Output
Some features of TradeShaper use third-party large language models (such as Anthropic’s Claude) to extract data from screenshots, summarize trade context, suggest strategy matches, or generate hindsight commentary. AI output may be wrong, incomplete, biased, or fabricated. Always verify any AI-generated content against your broker statements, primary data sources, and your own judgment before acting on it.
5. Consult Licensed Professionals
Before making any trading, investment, tax, or financial decision, you should consult a licensed financial adviser, broker, accountant, or attorney qualified in your jurisdiction. Your circumstances are unique to you and the platform cannot evaluate them.
6. Data Accuracy
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the platform functional, but we make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any data shown. Imported broker data, manually entered trades, AI-extracted chain quotes, and computed risk values may contain errors. You are responsible for cross-checking any data the platform displays before relying on it.
7. Acknowledgment
By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Disclaimer, that you accept full responsibility for your own trading and financial decisions, and that you will not hold Azure LLC (the operator of TradeShaper), its members, employees, contractors, contributors, or affiliates liable for any losses, missed opportunities, tax penalties, or other damages arising from your use of the platform. See the Terms of Service for the full agreement, including limitation-of-liability language you also accept on signup.
